How to Become A Better Hitter

As Ted Williams said, hitting a round ball with a round bat can be the hardest thing to do in any sport. What I am going to list, however, are the most are some tips not too many people know about that I have picked up on and also a product that will will explain in detail the proper approach to hitting. As a switch hitter I have learned many essential techniques and approaches and here a few to list:
Bend a little in the knees to ensure powerful weight transfer.
Back elbow slightly moves up just before swing initiation is about to take place.
At point of contact both elbows are bent like L's.
Do not swing using your hands try to incorporate your body and allow the hands to carry with it experiencing the ride.
At point of contact your front leg should be straight.
Do not be superstitious.
Have fun and say "I'm going to hit this ball hard."
Video tape yourself to see how your swing looks. This is the most underused way to get better. No one is going to know how to fix their swing if they do not know what they are doing.

Also you can check out this 10-step hitting guide to learn more advanced drills, techniques, mindsets, and many more. The producer of this guide has had recent college hitting experience and was a college all-american himself. He knows a little about hitting and hitting home runs even though he is only 5'8".
